In Kerala last month, another horrific case of harassment has come to light in Kochi amid incidents of suicide by women over dowry harassment. A 31-year-old woman has accused her husband and in-laws of killing her, not giving food for several days, and also harassing her father. The woman said the police did not take any action even after filing a case in the case.

A fresh complaint was filed with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Kochi on Thursday after the same victim disclosed her ordeal to the media and her family constituted an Action Council seeking justice. The victim said she was not allowed to eat food. When she called the police, she was threatened with consequences. She was told that she was a burden to this family and that she would have to stay with his in-laws.

At the same time, the woman's husband Gipson (31 years old) works for a company in Thiruvananthapuram. The woman said Gipson pressed her mouth at night and beat her painfully. The woman's in-laws starved her without giving her food as she was against selling gold got in her marriage. The woman's father was assaulted when he asked them about his daughter. At the same time, the police also didn't take action for the last three months.
