The situations in Kerala is becoming worse as the flood has damaged the lifestyle completely. Due to heavy rain and flood on 16 August more than 106 people died within 24 hours. The condition is getting more worse due to lack of oxygen and fuel and it becomes difficult to rescue the people. Death More than 324 people died due to flood till date. Chengannur is affected greatly due to flood and life is becoming difficult there.

CPM MLA Saji Cherian asked PM Narendra Modi to help them. He said ‘Modi Ji please help us and give us helicopters we need it otherwise 5000 might die. He further added that they are asking for the help since 4 days to Navy but they have not received any help yet. MLA further added that the Airlift is only the way to save people.

According to reports, in the response of request of Saji Cherayan 10 boats have been sent o them. CM P. Vijayan accepted that Chegnnur is the most affected areas and he further added that the rescue operation is also becoming difficult in this area.
