THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI(M) distributed pamphlets on Tuesday under the name "Save Education Collective" that attacked Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and questioned his mental condition as part of its decision to enter the governor's camp.
The article points out that Khan is merely a tool for the Sangh pariwar soldiers and "has no notion as to what the rights, obligations and duties of a governor are."
State party secretary M.V. Govindan stated the only way forward was to mobilise the populace "against the illegitimate and undemocratic mode of operation," confirming that the CPI(M) has announced an all-around offensive.
"The governor is no longer mentally stable. On November 15, we'll hold a never-before-seen demonstration when 10,000 people demonstrate in front of the governor's official mansion here. In addition, there will be protests in every other district of the state "Govindan said.
Govindan said, "We have already made it clear that we will stop at nothing to ensure that things are put in order, and we simply won't permit the governor to act as he pleases.
The way Khan handled Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is well-known for being a strong politician and whose early achievements are frequently cited to inspire modern Communists, has done the most damage to the CPI(M).
Khan, however, took potshots at Vijayan since he is aware of the incident that occurred many years ago when a young IPS officer pulled out his gun and aimed it at Vijayan during CPI(M) protests, and Vijayan fled the area before returning later after changing his clothes.
