KOCHI: Following a flurry of heated arguments, the Kerala High Court on Monday adjourned its decision on actor Dileep's anticipatory release application in a new case in which he is accused of conspiring to assassinate the investigating officers in the actress abduction case till Tuesday.
Dileep presented six cellphones to the court on Monday morning, as ordered by the court on Saturday.
The order was given in response to a Crime Branch plea in the new case's ongoing investigation.
The court had ordered him to hand up the six cellphones on Saturday, despite his request for time until Tuesday morning, claiming that they had been transported to Mumbai for forensic investigation. The extra time, however, was denied by the court. The prosecution claimed there were seven cellphones: four belonging to Dileep, two to his brother Anoop, and one to his brother-in-law.
