According to media reports, this cemetery has been built on the Bayor coast of Kozhikode by Jellyfish Watersports with the help of 'Clean Beach Mission and Beypore Port Department' of the district administration. Made of single-use plastic bottles, the structure pays homage to the 8 extinct marine species, including seahorse, foot fish, leatherback turtles, eagle ridge, sawfish, dugongs, zebra sharks, hammerhead fish and endemic freshwater fish of Kerala, called Miss Kerala.
