Kerala Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has urged an investigation into allegations that Kerala Fire and Rescue Services were spotted training members of the Popular Front of India (PFI). He claimed that the CPI(M) is accommodating extremists in both the majority and minority.
"This is a major problem. This has to be looked into. The RSS, according to the CPI(M), is infiltrating forces. SDPI infiltrators, on the other side, have been reported. There are majority extremists and minority extremists on both sides "Satheesan expressed his thoughts.
"The CPI has made both of them happy (M). It's a political strategy that flatters everyone for the time being. The practise of social engineering by CM Pinarayi Vijayan is religiously driven "he said.
"First and foremost, the CPI(M) must abandon its appeasement strategy. Leaders of the CPI(M) make the announcements. The entire leadership of the party is appointing people to significant posts. The police hierarchy has vanished. The entire reason for these dangerous operations is that the police line of command has been handed over to party leaders "he said.
While BJP leader K Surendran said on Thursday that the PFI and SDPI are involved in a number of terrorist operations and that the Pinrayi government is giving these Jihadi groups a red carpet welcome. "Members of the radical Islamic group Popular Front of India received training from the Kerala Fire and Rescue Service. PFI and SDPI have been linked to a number of terrorist actions. The Government is giving a red carpet to these Jihadi forces," Surendra said.
