Kochi: Aparna Lovekumar, a senior police officer from Thrissur district in Kerala, shaved her head for cancer victims and donned her long hair. She is being appreciated all around for this work. She has donated her long hair to make the cancer victim's wig. Women love their long hair and hair has a prominent place in their beauty, despite this, Aparna shaved her head.

Aparna says that "there is no praise in what I did. The hair on the head will come in two years". Aparna told the media that recently she saw a young man suffering from cancer. He survived cancer, but the hair from his head went away forever. He felt quite uncomfortable looking bald. Seeing his mood, Aparna decided to donate her hair.
