Police sub-inspector lost battle of life from Corona in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: 55-year-old police sub-inspector infected with a corona infection in Kerala died of a heart attack on Friday during treatment. This is the first case of death of an employee from Corona in Kerala Police. According to the press release issued by the police, VP Ajitan associated with Idukki Special Branch was doing corona duty with full readiness. After the coronavirus was confirmed, he was undergoing treatment at Idukki Medical College and Hospital.

He was already suffering from diabetes and heart disease. After the release, after his health deteriorated, he was later shifted to Kottayam Medical College and Hospital. He died of a heart attack at 11:30 pm on Friday night. The last rites of the officer were performed with police honors in Idukki this evening. He is survived by his wife and two children.

DGP Loknath Behera shared the post on Facebook and mourned the death and said, 'To lose a member of the family is very sad and unfortunate. All I want is that other members of the Kerala Police family be healthy and safe." He said that every kind of support would be provided to the family. So far 108 policemen have been found infected with Corona infection in Kerala.
