In its four days extended opening weekend, the movie made a solid Rs 78.07 crore becoming the highest opening weekend grosser of the 2019 so far. While Kesari’s opening day, which was the biggest of the year so far, it saw good growth over its 4-day weekend but it should've been more.

on its day 5, which is also its first Monday, the movie has had a stronghold at the box office, according to an early estimate. As per report in Box Office India, Kesari has earned a fair Rs 8.25 crore-Rs 8.5 crore. Which means the 5 days total of Kesari will be around Rs 85 crore approx.

However, the final numbers are to be out, it is quite certain that Akshay Kumar's first release of 2019 Kesari, has beaten the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar's first release of 2018, Pad Man. The film had collected Rs 81.82 crore in its lifetime run. It is expected that the film will have a fair hold at the box office in its extended first week of 8 days. The Anurag Singh directorial's real test will be on its second Friday when new movie will hit the screens, notably, Notebook and Junglee.
Talking about Kesari, it is based on the true story of one of the bravest battles that India ever fought – the Battle of Saragarhi.
