Patna: Janata Dal-United (JDU) MLC Dr. Khalid Anwar expressed admiration for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that Kumar's profound understanding of the nation makes him an exemplary candidate for Prime Minister. Anwar praised Kumar's political acumen, emphasizing his respect for democratic institutions and his significant contributions to Bihar's progress.

Anwar highlighted Kumar's leadership in propelling Bihar forward, noting his visionary agricultural policies that continue to shape the sector nationally. Additionally, Kumar's noteworthy initiatives in the railway sector earned him recognition for his impactful contributions to national development.

In the ongoing elections, the NDA alliance, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), and Janata Dal (United), is leading in Bihar, according to the latest updates from the Election Commission of India.

In Bihar, Janata Dal (United) is leading on 14 seats, closely followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party leading on 11 seats, as per the Election Commission. Bihar's significant stake in Indian politics, with 40 Lok Sabha constituencies, underscores the state's pivotal role in shaping the national political landscape.

Further, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is leading on 5 seats, Rashtriya Janata Dal on five seats, Congress on two seats, Communist Party of India on 1 seat, and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) on 1 seat.

In Bihar's political arena, the RJD contested 26 seats, the Congress nine, and the Left parties contested five seats under the INDIA alliance agreement. In contrast, the NDA alliance featured the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contesting on 17 seats, Janata Dal-United (JDU) on 16 seats, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) (Ram Vilas) on 5 seats, with Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha on one seat each in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
