New Delhi [India], Mar. 21 (NT): Former union minister Salman Khurshid on Wednesday firmly said that pointless guesswork in links with Congress state party chiefs stepping-down one after another must steer clear of.

In an interview taken by ANI, Khurshid asserted that to jump on to any conclusion without any proof would be unjust.

He said that everyone should at least wait for the declaration and not introspect.

Earlier The Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that he wanted to give a new lease of life to the party and take the best lead of young people and old people too.

Khurshid's statement comes in the bid of a number of state Congress chiefs resigning from their posts following Congress president Rahul Gandhi's plans to give a new-boost to the grand old party.

The most recent in the list is Raj Babbar, who on Wednesday resigned from the post of Uttar Pradesh Congress chief, a party source informed.

The development followed Congress' most horrible performance in recent Lok Sabha bypolls to Gorakhpur and Phulpur, where their deposits were held.

Earlier on Monday, Goa Congress President Shantaram Naik resigned from his post too.

In this wake, Bharat Singh Solanki also gave resignation from the post of  Congress state chief from Gujarat.  (NT)
