Kia Motors in India recently launched its first SUV. Kia Seltos is getting better with Indian customers, with 32,000 units booked within 6 weeks. Kia Seltos' initial ex-showroom is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh, which goes up to Rs 15.99 lakh. While the company seems excited from this beginning, its delivery at the right time has become the biggest challenge. Kia has started delivering its Seltos on August 23, but reports say its GT Line delivery could last from 12 to 14 weeks. On the other hand, delivery of GT Line trim can go from 10 to 12 weeks.
For your information, the Korean carmaker has an annual capacity of three lakh units at the Annatpur production plant in Andhra Pradesh. Kia Motors said the company is about to start operations in two shifts soon so that demand can be delivered at the right time. Kia Seltos is launched in India with three engines. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 115 PS power and 144Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre VGT diesel engine produces 115 PS power and 250Nm of torque. However, the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine produces 140 PS power and 242 Nm of torque.
The 6-speed manual transmission comes in all three engines. The 1.5-litre petrol comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 7-speed DCT in the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol. The length of Kia Seltos is 4315 millimeters, the width is 1620 millimeters and the height is 1800 millimeters. Its wheelbase is 2610 millimeters. It has a disc brake in front.
