Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says Pyongyang's latest missile launch is a warning against joint military exercises between Washington and Seoul. Earlier on Tuesday, Kim launched a new missile. Sources said Kim Jong-un said the military action was a golden opportunity to send warnings to joint military exercises by U.S. and South Korean officials.

North Korea is reportedly banned from launching ballistic missiles under UN Security Council resolutions. This is North Korea's first missile test after a sudden meeting between Us President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un last month. At the June 30 meeting, Kim and Trump agreed to resume talks at a meeting in the militarized region.

North Korea had earlier warned that war exercises between the Us and South Korea could also affect plans to resume nuclear disarmament talks between Washington and Pyongyang.
