Government and opposition face the draft of the Citizen Registeration in Assam. On the issue of 40 lakh people taken out of NRC, Congress has given notice of adjournment motion. The opposition also performed in the Parliament premises and there was a ruckus on the issue in the Rajya Sabha. Shortly before, Home Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement in the Lok Sabha that Rohingyas have come in large numbers in India. He said that BSF and Assam Rifles have been deployed so that there is no infiltration. He said that if necessary, the state also has the right that they can report to the Rohingya. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee is going to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Mamta says that people who come out of every state live in the state. This is an electoral politics.

In the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju termed the statement of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sujit Bose as unfortunate saying that India is probably the only country which has adopted a soft approach towards the refugees. According to the Minister of State of the Union Home, the government has assured Myanmar that India is ready to assist Myanmar in providing facilities to those Rohingyas when they will return to Myanmar. Earlier, TMC MP Sugit Bose had said in the Lok Sabha, "The Foreign Ministry is running 'Operation Humanity' for Rohingyas in Bangladesh. There are 40,000 Rohingya in India, but will we show Humanity only for those who live in Bangladesh."

Minister of State for Home, Kiran Rijiju answered in a supplementary question that Rohingya is not a refugee in India but an illegal migrant. He said that many places have been informed to join the illegal activities of Rohingya people, although this cannot be disclosed. Rijiju said that the state should ensure that Rohingya migrants cannot get any government documents. Rohingya in Jammu and Kashmir are in a high quantity.

Apart from this, Rohingya are also there in Telangana, Delhi and Haryana. The Minister said that the Government of India has helped in relief operations in the province of Myanmar. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has informed the Lok Sabha that the Border Security Force (BSF) and Assam Rifles have been deployed to stop the infiltration of Rohingyas.

The Home Minister said that the states have been advised that the Rohingya who have already arrived should be monitored, And they should be kept in one place, and they are not allowed to spread. According to the Union Home Minister, the states have the right to send Rohingyas to the deportation, i.e. expulsion and return them.

On the statement of Rahul Gandhi, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju tweeted on Twitter. Rijiju has written that Rahul Gandhi says that the NRC is the responsibility of the Congress and it has been executed with slowness in the BJP government. This means that it should have worked with more strictness. But in the House, the Congress party opposes the NRC process.
