Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are tipped to win the IPL title on Sunday, thanks to their strong spin attack and a better track record against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), according to cricket experts Matthew Hayden and Kevin Pietersen. KKR's performance against SRH in the league stage gives them an edge in the upcoming final.

"I'm very confident that KKR will win," said Hayden on Star Sports Cricket Live. "They’ve had a few days off, which allowed them to analyze SRH's strengths and weaknesses. KKR's momentum from defeating SRH, combined with the quality spin of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy on the red clay, will be decisive."

Hayden emphasized the importance of mental strength in a rigorous tournament like the IPL. "It's about getting it right. The players have endured a tough schedule, traveling across the country and adapting to different conditions. Only the strong-hearted can lift the trophy at the end. Luck plays a role, but commitment to the team is crucial. Rajasthan Royals, for instance, faltered under pressure, while SRH showed resilience."

Pietersen also considers KKR the front-runners for the title. "I didn't like the way SRH capitulated in Ahmedabad. It puts them on the back foot for Sunday’s final. Pat Cummins and Shreyas Iyer's performances will boost KKR’s confidence, knowing they recently defeated SRH."

However, Pietersen acknowledged SRH's potential for a comeback. "SRH won the SA20, so they know how to win. They have a winning structure and belief within the franchise. Momentum can work wonders."
