Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) woman leader Moushami Das was attacked in West Bengal's Malda, after which she has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The BJP has alleged that "goons of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC)" have attacked Das's house in Maltipur. Moushami Das is the vice-president of Mahila morcha of Malda district on behalf of the BJP.
Moushami's husband Pintu Mandal said, "She was sleeping in her room in the house. Meanwhile, two unidentified men entered the house and started slaughtering her. The attackers also attacked her with knives. TMC goons are involved in this attack.'' TMC spokesperson from Malda, Shuvomoy Basu, however, denied the allegations. He said "We have faith in the police investigation. They will find out what is the reason behind this attack... If that has happened.''
Let us know that there are often attacks on BJP leaders and workers in Bengal. Many BJP workers have even been killed in the state. Even after the TMC won the assembly elections last year, BJP supporters were attacked from Bengal, after which thousands of people migrated from the state, most of them were Hindus. The Bengal Police is also accused of not taking any action on the violence being done by the leaders and workers of the ruling party.
