There has been no increase in the price of diesel today from the government oil companies. But the price of petrol has been increased again by 12 to 13 paise on Sunday. Earlier, on July 3, the Delhi Government had reduced the rate of diesel by Rs 8.36, due to which the rate of diesel in Delhi was reduced to Rs 73.56 per litre in the market.

According to information received from IOCL, today the price of one-litre petrol and diesel in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai is like this. Diesel is running 73.56 in Delhi, petrol Rs 81.62, diesel 77.06 in Kolkata, petrol 83.13 rupees, diesel 80.11 in Mumbai, petrol 88.28 rupees, diesel 78.86 in Chennai, petrol is running 84.64 rupees.

There is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the rates of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles.

Petrol and diesel prices change every day, depending on what the prices of crude are in the international market along with the foreign exchange rates. On the basis of these standards, oil companies do the work of fixing the petrol price and diesel price daily. Apart from this, dealers are running petrol pumps. They themselves sell petrol at retail prices after adding taxes and their own margins to the last of the consumers. This cost is also added to the petrol price and diesel price.
