The time of Pitru Paksha is going on and during this time the followers of Sanatan Dharma perform Shradh and Tarpan for their ancestors. In Sanatan Dharma, it is believed that by performing Shradh, the ancestors are satisfied and bless their children with happiness and prosperity. Under this religious tradition, Pind Daan is also considered mandatory for the peace and salvation of the soul of the ancestors. This religious act holds special importance during the days of Pitru Paksha, because it is believed that the ancestors come among their family members during these days and after being satisfied with Shradh, bless them and leave.

viral video on social media

On this holy occasion of Pitru Paksha, a video is becoming increasingly viral on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). This video has been uploaded by a user named Vikas Mohta, in which Acharya Dinesh Semalti has discussed in detail the importance of Shraddha and the lineage tradition. Acharya ji has explained in a very simple and precise manner how Shraddha is directly related to our DNA and why the worship of ancestors is important.

Relation of Shraddha and DNA

In medical science, DNA means Deoxyribonucleic Acid, which stores the genetic information of our body. But Acharya Dinesh Semalti presented this scientific definition in a different form by linking it to the lineage tradition. He explained that the father himself is born as a son, that is, the son is an extension of his father. He defines it as 'DN', in which:

D means Grandfather,
N means Maternal Grandfather,
A means Soul

Thus, according to Acharya ji, every person's body has the qualities of both his parents, and this lineage continues from generation to generation. Keeping this tradition in mind, Shraadha is organized so that the ancestors can be respected and the lives of children can be successful with their blessings.

Importance of Shradh: According to Acharya Dinesh Semalti, it is said in Sanatan Dharma that a father gives birth to a son, a grandfather gives birth to a grandson and a great grandfather gives blessings of happiness and prosperity to the entire family. By the grace of ancestors, a person gets fame, glory and wealth in life. Therefore, as long as there is life, one should perform Shradh for ancestors and perform Tarpan and Pinddaan for the peace of their souls.
