Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie 'Padman' is in the discussion all over, on this matter Twinkle Khanna said that it was important to make a film on menstruation as it was the only way to get people to talk about the topic in India. She also said that working with Akshay was fun and that his habit of working too much proved to be an asset to them.

When questioned asked about why she decided to choose the story of 'the sanitary man' into a film, the actress replied, "We don't have power over what our mind wants to do, or where it goes sometimes. I penned ten chapters of a novel right after 'Mrs. Funnybones'. But while I was studying for my column, I pitched upon the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham. It clutched me and I rejected my novel and began writing 'The Sanitary Man'. Muruganantham's journey is an extraordinary story and after a while, I began feeling that the only way it would truly reach households in both urban and rural India and begin a conversation about something that so far has been enveloped in a newspaper, was by making a movie on the subject."

And finally when the actress inquired what it was like making her debut as a producer, the actress asserted, "I don't dislike any part of this journey, even the brief work as an actress where my meager brain cells were probably rather busy trying to commit hara-kiri in despair, because skills add to your abilities, even if it is just your ability to laugh at yourself. I am looking at interesting stories for my next project, but first I have to make sure that my superhero 'Padman' takes to the skies."
