The drug scandal of Bengaluru is revealing shocking statements. Taking a serious note of the Sandalwood drug racket, the Kodagu police have also seized 8 kg 400-gram Marijuana in two separate cases in Kushalnagar town and rural police station boundaries on Saturday. According to Kodagu police, Kushalnagar town police found that one Naganna had cultivated Marijuana between Cassava (sweet potato) plants inland taken on lease from one Gafoor, at Madapatna village in Kushalanagar taluk.

The police also seized 6 kg 400 grams of Marijuana which had grown to the height of 7.6feet and also arrested 62-year-old Naganna who had planted them. Kushalnagar town police has registered a case. In another case, Kushalnagar rural police also picked up Lakshmappa who was all set to sell Marijuana at a bus stand near a school in Manajoor in Kushalnagar taluk. The cops arrested Lakshmappa and confiscated 2 kg of Marijuana from him. The arrested 75-year-old Lakshmappa who was a former village accountant of Torenooru and a resident of Torenoor was earlier booked in six cases related to selling Marijuana.

And police are enquiring him on the people who were purchasing Marijuana from him, according to Kodagu police. Kushalnagar rural police have registered the case. In a press statement released by Kodagu Police, Kodagu SP Kshama Mishra has stated that they have found that Kodagu has been getting ultra-modern drugs from other districts and states, and drug racket has spread over Kodagu district and youth are becoming victims of drug abuse.
