In the 15th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the final ball at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Because to Virat Kohli's spectacular performance, RCB had set a challenging goal of 212/2 in their allotted overs, making the game extremely close.

The most prolific run-getter in IPL history, Kohli, notched his 46th half-century with a 44-ball total of 61. During the Powerplay, he was at his most devastating, punishing the LSG bowlers right away. In fact, according to media reports, Kohli scored 42 runs in the first six overs of the T20 match, which is a Powerplay record for him.

With at least one 50+ score against 13 of the 15 IPL clubs, Kohli has surpassed Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, and Gautam Gambhir, who each had this accomplishment against 12 separate teams. With 6,788 runs in 226 games at an average of 36.69, including 46 half-centuries and five centuries, Kohli's remarkable IPL record keeps improving.
With 2,489 runs totaled at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the most by any batsman in the history of the competition,

Kohli has set up an unrivalled supremacy there. With 1,960 runs, his colleague AB de Villiers is second on the list. Together with England's Alex Hales, who has the same number of scores at Trent Bridge, Kohli's 24 fifty-plus scores at the location are also joint-most by a player at a location.

While Kohli fell short of a well-deserving century against LSG, his unbroken 82 against Mumbai Indians in the first game was important in RCB's victory. Kohli could only manage an 18-ball 21 against Kolkata Knight Riders, as RCB suffered a humiliating loss.
