Kolkata: A tragic accident took place in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, on Friday (December 23) morning. Here a young woman was returning from the mess on a bike. On the way, she was hit by a dumper, due to which she died. When she was on a bike, a dumper hit her from behind. Due to this the young woman fell from the bike and the wheel of the dumper ran over the student and she died.

The incident took place at 8 am on Friday in Kolkata's Behala area. According to the police, the deceased woman has been identified as Molly Adhikari (22). The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination. The biker was seriously injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital in critical condition. According to police and local sources, a young woman named Molly died after being hit by a 10-wheeler dumper on Behala SN Roy Road at around 8 am on Friday.

The deceased woman is a resident of Chandipur in Purba Medinipur. She was on a bike taxi at the time of the accident. The girl was coming from a mess at Pathakpada in Behala. She had booked a bike online this morning and was leaving. According to local residents, a dumper came from behind at high speed and hit them. The girl fell away from the bike. The rear wheel of the dumper crushed her. The girl started bleeding from her head. Locals rescued the girl and she died before she could be taken to the hospital. The biker is currently undergoing treatment at Vidyasagar Hospital.
