Kota: Five persons have been arrested in connection with the recent boat capsizing in Chambal River near Khatoli village in Kota district. These people are boat operators. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is also taking stock of the situation. He is said to have spoken on the phone to the families of the deceased and assured them. Those who have been arrested by the police, in this case, include Mahendra Meena, Hemraj, Ramkumar Kewat, Amarlal and Vinod Kumar. According to reports, the police team had been in different places to arrest the accused and then they looked in the jungle around the village where the accused were hiding.

On Wednesday morning, a boat laden with 32 people and 14 bikes sank in Chambal River near Khatoli village in Kota district. 13 people went missing. After which 11 bodies were found, including 6 men, 4 women and 1 child. After that night, the investigation was closed and the next morning, the investigation was resumed on Thursday. The bodies of two young girls were found.

In the case, the police said that these people were going to Kameshwar Dham and most of the people died are residents of Gothada Kala. In addition, the people there also said that the condition of the wooden boat was already bad but even after that more passengers were seated. Now, in the case, the boat operators have been arrested.
