BENGALURU: The double murder case of a former Indian Air Force captain and his wife at their villa has been solved, and their 23-year-old servant has been detained. According to authorities, a manhunt has been launched for another suspect, who is a relative of the servant.
Raghurajan (70), a former Indian Air Force pilot, and his wife Asha (63), both from Chennai, were found killed at their villa at the Eagleton Resort in Bidadi, Bengaluru's suburbs, on Tuesday. Jogindar Yadav of Bihar has been identified as the person arrested. While the victims were sleeping, the accused bludgeoned their skulls with a hammer.
The authorities are looking for his relative Ravindra Yadav, who joined with him to murder the elderly couple. The accused has admitted that he committed the murder in order to make money and live a lavish lifestyle. The culprit was fined Rs 56,000 by the police.
Jogindar Yadav, the accused, attempted to transfer money from Raghurajan's phone. Raghurajan, who resigned from the Indian Air Force as a wing commander five years ago, had made his home at the villa. According to investigators, the couple stayed alone in the property while their two sons worked in New Delhi.
