Patna: As the counting of votes for the Kudhani Assembly by-election is increasing further, the fight is becoming very tough. BJP candidate Kedar Gupta defeated JD(U)'s Manoj Kushwaha by over 3,600 votes. However, a formal announcement is yet to be made. The same VIP had even made pure ghee laddoos in the capital Patna a day before the counting of votes. Now it will be known only after the announcement whether BJP's Kedar Gupta or JD(U)'s Manoj Kushwaha will eat Laddu.

Given the results that were visible after the counting of the 13th round, it would not be wrong to say that Mukesh Sahni's VIP vote has proved to be a setback. However, everything will be clear only after this result comes. BJP's Kedar Gupta was leading in the first round. Kedar Gupta got 4,194 votes while JD(U)'s Manoj Kushwaha got 2,195 votes.

In Bihar's Kudhani assembly by-election, the Grand Alliance has faced defeat from the BJP. In Kudhani, deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav's emotional card also did not work. Tejashwi had appealed to the JD(U) candidate to win, citing Lalu Yadav's illness. Although his appeal garnered sympathy, grand alliance candidate Manoj Kushwaha could not convert it into a victory.
