Kuwait City: The residence of Kuwait's military office chief at the embassy in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, was reportedly broken into and vandalised on Monday, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry issued a statement that was distributed by the national news agency KUNA in which it expressed "the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation of the attack on the headquarters of the head of the military office and all forms of violence and vandalism."

The attack, the ministry continued, was in "flagrant violation of all international norms and rules of international law and the Vienna Convention."

Furthermore, it reaffirmed its appeals for Sudan's official authorities and all parties concerned to "take prompt measures to ensure full protection for the headquarters of diplomatic missions and to punish the perpetrators."

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry reported on Monday that its embassy in Khartoum had been broken into and vandalised.
