The Indian team, who went on a tour to New Zealand, suffered a crushing 0–2 defeat in the Test series. Kyle Jamieson was a big contributor to bringing the Indian team to this embarrassing situation. Six feet 8 inches tall Jamieson, playing his debut series, took 9 wickets in two Tests. Now he got the reward of this great performance by including him in the team against Australia.

New Zealand gave young Pacer Kyle Jamieson a place in the 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia on Wednesday, while also keeping the confidence of fast bowler Tim Southee. He also took 5  wickets in the innings in the second Test against India. The team has been strengthened by the return of fast bowlers Trent Boult, Matt Henry, and Laki Ferguson. All three did not play in the ODI series against India. The New Zealand team has not won the ODI series in Australia in 14 attempts.
