A science teacher at a government school molested a 10th student in a science lab and asked her to come alone. When the student went alone, the accused molested her and when she came out and told the other teachers about it. Initially, some staff members tried to compromise on both sides, but the parents of the student complained to the police. On receipt of the information, the case has been investigated by Block Education Officer Harmel Singh.
According to reports in the case, Harmel Singh in his investigation report found the science teacher guilty and recommended suspension of the teacher from higher authorities. According to reports, the accused science teacher was booked under the POCSO Act and the accused was arrested. In this case, the girl was produced before the Child Welfare Committee and counseled.
According to an FIR lodged in the police in the case, the student said that "the teacher called her to the Science Lab on August 20 and molested her. She started crying. The science teacher threatened her not to let anyone know about the incident," the police have now launched an investigation into the incident.
