Leh: 50 new corona cases have been registered in Ladakh, taking the number of infected people to 19,611. Out of the latest cases, 36 have been registered from Leh and 14 from Kargil. Health officials said the number of active cases is 572, including 446 in Leh and 126 in Kargil.
Health officials said that so far 143 people have lost their lives from Corona in Leh and 55 in Kargil. The previous day, 3,652 people were tested for corona in Ladakh. 135 patients in the province have been discharged after recovery. This includes 128 people from Leh and 7 from Kargil. With this, the number of recover patients has now increased to 18,841, which is more than 94 per cent of the total cases. The Lieutenant Governor's administration had declared both Leh and Kargil districts as red zones and directed them to issue strict restrictions.
The lockdown has been reimposed in Kargil district from Saturday to June 30. There have been 368 active cases of corona infected people in Ladakh. Out of these, 68 are in Leh and 300 in Kargil district. State that 60,471 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, the lowest in 75 days. Today, for the eighth day in a row, fewer than 1 lakh new cases have been reported. According to the Union Health Ministry, 2,726 deaths have been recorded across the country in the last 24 hours. On Monday, 1,17,525 people recovered from the infection. The recovery rate has increased to 95.64 percent in the country due to covid infection.
