Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Tajinder Singh Virk is said to be the mastermind behind the Lakhimpur Kheri violence in Uttar Pradesh. Tajinder hails from Rudrapur. Tajinder is also said to be close to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also stayed at his house during his visit to Uttarakhand. He is said to be injured when he was hit by a car and is undergoing treatment. A man named Shubham Mishra has also died in the incident, which has been accused by Tajinder Singh Virk. Shubham Mishra's father has said in his complaint that he had gone there to participate in the wrestling competition. His family lives in Shivpuri Mohalla. Banvirpur in Tikunia had gone to participate in the wrestling competition which was to be inaugurated by deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Shubham Mishra's father Vijay Mishra has said that Shubham was sitting in the same car that Hariom Mishra was driving. They were on their way there to welcome the Chief Guest. Meanwhile, a mob of anarchic elements sitting 3 km away from the venue started pelting stones at their vehicle. He has also named a witness named Lavkush, who himself was going to watch the wrestling competition in the case. The incident took place at Tikunia Tiraha. The witness was quoted as saying that Amandeep Singh Sindhu, Mahendra Singh and Tajinder Singh Virk had stabbed Shubham Mishra with swords and sticks. At the same time, stone-pelting was also being done. Shubham and Hariom were killed in the incident. The father has said that Shubham's purse and gold chain are also missing. He said Lavkush and Ashish informed him about the case which he informed the police.

Father Vijay Mishra lodged a complaint with the police after cremating his son Shubham Mishra. He has written a report requesting legal action. Several photos of Tajinder Singh Virk along with Akhilesh Yadav have also gone viral. Nowadays he is said to wear a green turban instead of red.
