HC adjourns hearing on bail plea of Lalu Prasad Yadav in Dumka Treasury case

Ranchi: The bail plea of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving a sentence in four cases of fodder scam, was scheduled to be heard today on Friday, but it did not happen. Yes, the hearing has been postponed once again in the Ranchi High Court. According to the information received, the next hearing on this matter will now be held on December 11. Let us also tell you that Lalu Prasad Yadav has filed a bail petition in the case of illegal withdrawal from Dumka treasury of Jharkhand.

He has been granted bail in the other three cases. He is yet to get bail in the fourth case. If he gets bail in this case, he will come out of jail. He has been in jail for the last three years. Let us also tell you that RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently undergoing treatment at Ranchi Rims Hospital. He is an accused in several cases related to the fodder scam and Lalu has got bail in three of these cases but he is still in jail due to one case.

According to the information received, Lalu Prasad Yadav in the bail petition filed in the High Court in the case of illegal withdrawal from the Dumka treasury said that he is suffering from many diseases and completed half the period of detention given to him in the illegal withdrawal case from Dumka treasury. Because of this, he should be released on bail, but the CBI has opposed his bail application.
