Hyderabad (Telangana): Chief Minister KCR on Tuesday took an important decision and allowed the registration of open plots. According to the Chief Minister, registrations of open plots falling under the official layout can now be done. Apart from this, there is no problem in registration of such plots regularized under Land Regularization Schemes (LRS). Buildings or structures that have already been regularized from the Building Penalization Scheme (BPS) or the Building Regularization Scheme (BRS) can also be registered. The Telangana government has also issued an order in this regard.

Earlier, KCR government of the state had done LRS binding in land registration. Also, people were asked for LRS regularization under a scheme. When applying online, people also pay a fee of Rs.1000 per application. The government then warned that land registration would not be possible without LRS. Apart from these, houses built on such plots are also not provided with electric water connection. The government has challenged these orders in the high court. The investigation into this is still ongoing.

New layout plots not registered

In the orders issued by the government, it was clarified that the plots of the new layout would not be registered. In the old layout, LRS, BPS or BRS were not responsible for the registration of plots.

The decision of the government to abolish the LRS
Congress welcomed

Congress (Congress) MLA Jagga Reddy supported the Telangana government's decision on the LRS. The government has said that permission is not required for registration of non-agricultural lands (plots). They canceled the fasts on the decision of the government.

Congress has already demanded the abolition of the LRS, said MLA Jagga Reddy. He said that people were already suffering from corona infection and in such a situation, the problems of the people were likely to increase again after the implementation of LRS.

I can tell you that Congress has always opposed the implementation of the LRS system. He said the Telangana government had taken a step back with regard to the LRS as per the demand of the Congress.
