New Delhi: Last rites of former PM Vajpayee Ji were performed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee's daughter Namita Bhattacharya and his granddaughter Niharikai at Smriti Sthal in New Delhi. His mortal remains finally amalgamated with the five elements and now the great orator has met with his angles.

"We are here to share your grief and pay our condolences on the behalf of people of Pakistan and the Government of Pakistan", said Pakistan Law Minister Ali Zafar after arriving in Delhi for the funeral of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Senior BJP leader LK Advani and BJP President Amit Shah paid last respects to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Smriti Sthal.

King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck paid last respects to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Smriti Sthal.

The 93-year-old BJP veteran and the tallest political leader  of the saffron party took his last breath to met with his angles at 5:05 pm on Thursday at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Vajpayee ji was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 with severe problems of Urinary Tract Infection, low urine output, and chest congestion. He was on life support since Wednesday morning after his condition worsoned.

Vajpayee ji was  the PM of the National Democratic Alliance government from 1998 to 2004. He was the first-ever member of the saffron party BJP to become India's Prime Minister. The Central and all state governments have declared a seven-day holiday following the state morning on the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee . (NT)
