Lata Mangeshkar is no longer in this world. She passed away on February 6, 2022 and said goodbye to this world. After this, on Thursday (February 10), the ashes of Lata Mangeshkar were immersed in the holy Ramkund on the banks of river Godavari. The previous day, the late singer's sister Usha, nephew Adinath Mangeshkar and other family members reached Ramkund at around 10 am and flowed the ashes. Many residents of Nashik had also reached the Goda Ghat in the area to pay homage to the Sur Empress.

After flowing Lata didi's ashes here, Usha told reporters, "'She (Lata) was not my sister, but a mother. All the rituals were performed on the auspicious muhurta. 'Satish Shukla, the head of the Nashik Purohit Sangh, performed the rituals. Nashik Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav and some local leaders were also present on the occasion. You may be aware that many parts of 92-year-old Lata's body had stopped working, which led to her death in a Mumbai hospital on Sunday morning.

Her cremation was performed in the evening of the same day with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Then on Monday, three ashes of Lata Mangeshkar were handed over to Adinath, who is the singer's brother and son of musician Hridaynath Mangeshkar. You all may also be aware that in the year 1929, Lata Mangeshkar was born in Indore and Lata is has been awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour of the country.
