Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Reader by introducing a new device in its product list, which is similar to Amazon Kindle reader and the consumer can enjoy reading in multiple file format. Currently, the company has introduced Mi Reader in the Chinese market and its price is RMB 579 i.e. around Rs 5,900. At present, the company has not made any disclosure about its launch in other markets but it is expected that soon this device can be launched in the international market. This may give a tough competition to Amazon Kindle in the market.

Talking about the availability of Xiaomi Mi Reader, it will be available for sale in the Chinese market from November 20 through crowdfunding. Where it is RMB 579 i.e. around Rs 5,900, but the price will be available only during crowdfunding. After this, you will be able to buy Mi Reader from December 18 for RMB 599 i.e. around Rs 6,100.

Features of Mi Reader - Talking about the special features provided in Mi Reader, it will provide multiple file formats to the consumer, including TXT, EPUD, PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, besides WPS and Microsoft Office content. Looking at the design, it uses a smooth matte finish with a dark rear panel.

It has a 6.0-inch HD e-ink display with 212 pixels PPI. This device works on 1.8GHz quad-core Allwinner B300 processor. It has 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. Based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the Mi Reader weighs 178 grams and size 159.2 x 116 x 8.3mm. It features USB Type C port as connectivity features, while for power backup it includes a 1,800 mAh battery.
