On Tuesday, it was another upset for defending champion Mumbai Indians as they were defeated by Orange army. The defending champion is now on the bottom of the point table after six match, while Sunrisers Hyderabad with four win out of six game. After the 23rd encounter in IPL 2018, besides the regular obvious shuffle at the points table, there are new owners of the Purple and Orange Cap. Post-Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad fixture which took place at Wankhede Stadium there was a change in heads as for the most run-getter and most-wickets scalped in an edition. Mumbai Indians’ Mayank Markande has regained the Purple Cap following a 2 for 15 versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 23. Siddarth Kaul also climbed the chart claiming second spot in the list with 9 wickets.

The 20-year-old, Mumbai Indians leg-spinner Mayank Markande regains the Purple cap against former champion Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 23rd match of VIVO IPL 2018. Mayank Markande bowled 3 over against SRH in which he considered 15 runs and pick up two wicket. Mayank Markande picked 10 wickets in his six match which make him to topped in the Purple caps.
