BEIRUT: Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has urged all political parties to work together to help the country emerge from the current crisis, a statement released by the Council of Ministers reads.
"We believe Lebanon has a lot of potential and capability, which should motivate the country to resurrect. To move reforms and the recovery forward, we must all work together, notably at the government and parliament levels "Mikati made the remarks during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday to discuss critical reform measures.
Despite the country's difficult social and economic issues, the Prime Minister stated that his government will continue to fight to put the country on the road to recovery, as per reports. He remarked, "We're working nonstop to figure out how to pay all of our internal and external obligations."
Lebanon has made significant progress in its negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, according to Mikati, and his cabinet anticipates positive results.
