The use of plastic has made human life easier, but on the other hand, a serious crisis has also been created for the environment. Plastic has become a challenge not only for India but for the whole world. The government of every country is making a lot of effort to stop it. A special type was built in northern Lebanon to prevent people from using plastic. For this, a 28.5 meters long Christmas tree has been made with the help of 1 lakh 20 thousand plastic bottles used. Efforts are also being made to register this tree in the Guinness Book of World Records. A Christmas tree has been prepared from 120,000 plastic bottles in Chekka village in northern Lebanon. The length of this Christmas tree is 28.5 meters and the villagers together have prepared it in 20 days. The villagers believe that it is the world's largest Christmas tree made of plastic bottles, which will soon be included in the Guinness World Record. Its project head Carolini Chhibitini says that this tree will give a message to people around the world to protect the environment from plastic. This Christmas tree is believed to be the largest in the world.

Preparations for making the Christmas tree were made 6 months ago. The villagers collected 1,29,000 bottles for 6 consecutive months with the help of social media. According to the project head Carolina, in order to collect plastic bottles, on social media people were appealed to give us a place instead of throwing bottles. People actively participated in this initiative. The Christmas tree will be kept for about one and a half months, says Carolini. After this these bottles will be recycled. Simultaneously, an application has been made for the Guinness World Record. For this, the organization has asked us to send evidence and information related to the Christmas tree.

Alexander, who is associated with this team, says that the revenue earned after recycling the bottles used in this tree will donate to the Red Cross. This initiative is important for Lebanon, as waste disposal became a major problem here in 2015. The government had no way to deal with it. The level of pollution has reached its peak. Since then there was an increase in cancer cases. Because of this, these steps have been taken and people are also happy with this initiative.
