Legendary Lata Mangeshkar shares special message for soldiers ahead of Bhai Dooj
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Legendary soloist Lata Mangeshkar has shared a special video message for Indian soldiers to greet with salutation them ahead of the festival of Bhai Dooj.
In the video, which she shared on Friday night on social media Twitter, ‘Swarkokila’ Lata Mangeshkar greeted the soldiers and said: "I salute the soldiers of our Indian Army. I am one of your sisters, who actually respect you. It's a truth. India is because of its soldiers. And we are because of India." she added with patriotic feeling.
The 88-year-old melodies singer, who has sung scores of everlasting patriotic songs in her tremendous singing career, also said she is the whole time ready to do anything for the armed forces.
This is not the first time the iconic singer has displayed her love for the soldiers.
Last year the Bharat Ratna awarded Lata Mangeshkar had appealed to her fans celebrating her birthday to remember and donate for the brave Indian soldiers who are guarding the borders because of September 18, 2016, terror attack left 18 Indian soldiers dead at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. So, Lata had not celebrated her birthday.
