There have been an atmosphere of mourn as legendary actor Jaya Prakash Reddy has passed away today. Telugu actor Jaya Prakash Reddy passed away early Tuesday at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh following a heart attack. He was 74. Jaya Prakash Reddy has acted in a large number of films in a career spanning almost three decades.

Jaya Prakash shot into the limelight with his role as Veera Raghava Reddy in the movie Samarasimha Reddy and also acted as the villain in movies like Chennakeshava Reddy and Jayam Manade Raa. V actor Sudheer Babu took to his Twitter page and verified the news by paying condolences. He shared a photo of Jaya Prakash Reddy and wrote, "Woke up to terrible news. Rest in peace, sir. #JayaprakashReddy". Former CM of Andhra Chandrababu Naidu also tweeted on the demise of the Telugu star.

JP as he is popularly known did mainly comic and villainous roles throughout his career. His most popular films include Preminchukundam Raa, Narasimha Naidu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Julayi, Ready, Kick, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Avunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, Kabaddi Kabbadi, Evadi Gola Vadidi and Kithakithalu to name a few. JP was last seen in the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru which released in January this year that had Rashmika Mandanna and Vijayashanti as lead stars.
