Complete EPFO-Aadhaar linking process before September 1

New Delhi: If you work and contribute to provident funds (PF), this news is for you. If you don't link your Universal Account Number (UAN) to Aadhaar number by September 1, you may have trouble withdrawing money. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made it mandatory for UAN to link aadhaar number.

If an employee's UAN number is not linked to Aadhaar, the company's contribution to his PF account, withdrawal of money, may face a variety of problems. EPFO had earlier announced June 1 as the last date for linking the UAN account with Aadhaar. Later, this date was extended to 1st September 2021. EPFO has said that if aadhaar is not linked to UAN by September 1, the benefits of the company to the employee will be withheld.

Link aadhaar to UAN in these ways:-
EPFO has said that members can link their Aadhaar to UAN in many ways. This includes SMS, e-mail, telephone calls in addition to online-offline. the EPFO has appealed to all members and employers to complete the process of linking Aadhaar with their UAN by September 1. The process is being carried out under the social security code. This code was passed by Parliament last year.
