Microsoft's social media platform LinkedIn has also expanded its clubhouse-style Live Audio feature. The company first launched the live audio event in January and now it is going to introduce hosting facility for all the creators. With this new update, all LinkedIn creators who use the platform's "Creator Mode" will be able to host live audio events. Users using it also have to provide a reliable, secure and professional content according to the community policy.
It has been said in the report that although event hosting is currently limited to creators, any LinkedIn user is going to participate in the chat. Similar to Clubhouse, creators on LinkedIn can schedule their audio programs in advance and share upcoming conversations with their networks. Creators may already be using audio features to expand their professional network, connect with potential customers and reach new followers, the company said.
Not only this, a video-based live event is also in the works, although LinkedIn has not given any update about when they will be offering it. The report states that LinkedIn has expanded its efforts to become a creator-based platform and for this the company has been intensifying its efforts. The company has said that more than 10 million people are using the site's Creator Mode, which was only 5.5 million at the time of the feature's initial launch.
