New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Biotech Startup Expo - 2022 today at 10:30 a.m. in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. According to a statement released by the PMO, this will be followed by his address on the occasion.

The Biotech Startup Expo -2022  is a two-day event taking place on June 9 and 10. The Department of Biotechnology and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council are hosting the event (BIRAC). It is being hosted to commemorate BIRAC's ten-year anniversary of its founding. 'Biotech Startup Innovations: Towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat' is the theme of the Expo.

The Expo will act as a podium to connect entrepreneurs, investors, industry executives, scientists, researchers, bio-incubators, manufacturers, regulators, and government officials. The Expo will feature around 300 exhibits showcasing biotechnology applications in various disciplines, including healthcare, genomics, biopharma, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, waste-to-value, and renewable energy, among others.
