In Haryana, in view of the increasing cases of covid infection, the decision to close shops in crowded markets from 6 pm has been left to the district deputy commissioners. The District Deputy Commissioner is to ensure that an adequate number of drug shops and grocery shops are allowed as per the requirement to remain open in crowded markets even after 6 pm. Restaurants and dining spaces will be allowed to be kept open only for home delivery after the stipulated time. On the other hand, the decision to close liquor contracts at 6 pm has been withdrawn.

Departmental Examinations Cancelled: The Haryana Government has announced the suspension of departmental examinations of Assistant Commissioners, Additional Assistant Commissioners, and other officers and staff to be held from April 26 to 30 in view of the increasing cases of corona. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Chief Secretary's Office.

Police to be deployed in markets and public places: Despite all efforts in Haryana, police are going to deal firmly with people who do not follow corona rules. The police force has been deployed at all markets, weekly markets, shopping centers, playgrounds like crowded and all public places. Home Minister Anil Vij directed all police commissioners and superintendents of police in the high-level meeting to strictly enforce the covid rules.

In Haryana, the police would not have relaxed in view of the increasing corona cases. Vij directed strict compliance of orders for closure of shops after 6 pm every day, imposition of covid curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, sanction of 50 people for indoor and 200 for outdoor.

Vij said that for checkouts in clubs, banquet halls, wedding ceremonies, and public events, duty magistrates and local municipal authorities are going to ensure that the number of people invited to the events does not cross the maximum limit. Strict action will be taken if rules are violated at any place. Home Secretary Rajiv Arora, Director General of Police Manoj Yadav, Additional Director General of Police Navdeep Singh Virk, and Inspector General of Police Rakesh Kumar apprised Vij of the ground report.
