Live coverage of the Interim Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has commenced her address. She has arrived at the Parliament to present the budget. The speech by the finance minister will be broadcasted live on Doordarshan (DD) News, as well as on the YouTube channel and website of the Press Information Bureau (PIB). Sitharaman will deliver the Interim Budget, which is termed as a "vote-on-account."

"Fruitful development has reached the masses on a large scale. The nation has embraced a renewed sense of direction. In the second term under PM Modi, the government has intensified its agenda," remarked FM Sitharaman.

11.10 am: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is initiating sweeping reforms. Through the Skill India Mission, 14 million youth have been trained, with 5.4 million receiving upskilling and reskilling, alongside the establishment of 3,000 new ITIs.

Moreover, a significant number of higher education institutions, including 319 universities, have been established.
Initiatives such as the fund of funds, Startup India, and the Startup Credit Guarantee Scheme are empowering our youth to become job providers.
