Danny Dhillon a well known Indian singer / actor hailing from New York wishes his motherland India a very happy Republic Day. Each year,  26th January is a day on which every Indian heart fills up with patriotic fervor and immense love for their motherland.

There are many significant memories as it was this day when the Indian Tricolor was first unfurled in January 1930 at Lahore, by Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and the declaration of an independent Indian National Congress was made. 26th January, 1950 was the day when the Indian republic and its constitution came into force. It was this day in history in 1965 when Hindi was declared as the official language of India.

On talking further about what Danny loves about India, he further said, “India is a land of different cultures, heritages, many languages and religions. Despite the differences our India is united in its diversity. The people of this country, it's beautiful cultures, its languages, the places and the good heart of the Indians make us feel proud that we are born in such a beautiful land. Our mother India has been teaching her children different skills and talents such as sports, archery, defense, music, dance, art, humanity, kindness, love, and acting. When we have such a beautiful land to live in, then why will not our hearts be filled with pride.”

Danny further says “according to me, a true Indian is the one who respects India in his heart throughout his life.” He concluded his talk by singing “Sare jahan se achcha Hindustan humara, Hum bulbule hai iske ye gulsitan humara humara.”
