One week lockdown in Jharkhand from April 22, decision taken after high-level meeting

Ranchi: Jharkhand's Hemant Soren government in a high-level meeting on Tuesday decided to impose a lockdown in the name of 'Health Safety Week' from April 22 to April 29 to break the growing corona infection link in the state. Under this, all offices except the identified offices of the Central Government, the State Government, and the private sector will remain closed and no one will leave the house except for necessary work.

Cm Hemant Soren has informed about the decision taken by the government in connection with the week-long lockdown and said that health protection week will be observed across Jharkhand from April 22 to April 29. Soren has said that under this health protection week, all offices except the central government, state government, and private sector offices across the state will remain closed and no one will leave the house without necessary work.

Soren said all shops will also remain closed except for essential commodities shops. He said agriculture, industry, and mining sectors will be exempted from their activities during the week-long lockdown. He said the State Government is committed to protecting the lives of all as well as protecting their livelihood.
