The rising cases of coronavirus and the ever-increasing death in Punjab have increased the general public's concern. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has made a big statement about this matter. In which he said that he would not shy away from taking strict steps to prevent the epidemic from spreading further.

During the meeting through video conference with his cabinet colleagues, the situation of Corona in the state has been reviewed. In this meeting, the Chief Minister has issued a statement on several opinions given by Dr. KK Talwar, Chairman of the Health Advisory Committee. In which he said that the state government would consider taking strict measures to prevent the Corona epidemic if required.

CM has again indicated strict lockdown in the areas affected more by Corona. It is clear from this that the economic situation will not be allowed to be affected. On the Corona disaster, Dr. Talwar said that the maximum number of cases are coming out in the four districts of Ludhiana, Mohali, Jalandhar, and Patiala and more strict security measures are needed to overcome the situation. Emphasizing the need for treatment, he said that with the number of cases reaching more than 31000 and 800 deaths, the state's condition remains critical. At present, the rate of death per million has reached 27.2. 265 patients are on oxygen support and 20 are on ventilators. The state has the capacity to perform 20000 tests every day, including rapid antigen testing.
