Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will not field its candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat. The party has given information about this through its official Twitter account. The party tweeted and said that the election to the vacant Rajya Sabha seat has been held since the demise of the Ram Vilas Paswan ji, the founder of Lok Janshakti Party and Dalit Sena. So its  BJP's call to who it gives seat. '

LJP said that many RJD colleagues have spoken of supporting LJP candidate in this seat. The party expresses gratitude for their support. No LJP person wants to contest elections on this Rajya Sabha seat. After the death of  LJP founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, this Rajya Sabha seat was vacant, which is now ready to hold elections.

This time this seat has been given to former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi from BJP quota. Since this seat belonged to the late LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan, there was speculation that the LJP may also give its candidate for this seat. But, he has put all speculations to rest.
