Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the first campaign rally set to take place in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, on January 25, as per sources from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

This rally in Bulandshahr marks the initiation of the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign, following the recent Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Samaroh in Ayodhya on January 22. Party members and BJP leaders are actively preparing for the event, anticipating a significant turnout in the western Uttar Pradesh city.

The BJP's primary focus is on western Uttar Pradesh, where they currently hold eight out of 14 seats. In the 2019 elections, they faced defeats in six constituencies. Prime Minister Modi is now aiming to reverse those outcomes in the upcoming 2024 elections, starting the campaign in Bulandshahr to connect with voters in contested areas and share the party's victory plan.

The BJP predicts an attendance of around five lakh people at PM Modi's rally in Bulandshahr. The scheduled public meeting on January 25 in Bulandshahr's Navada village is expected to garner support, featuring a shooting range field in Meerut Commissionerate.

In the political arena, a day after announcing an alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal for the Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav revealed plans for more meetings with Congress to finalize a seat-sharing formula in the state, emphasizing the importance of a strong INDIA alliance.

Yadav conducted a meeting in Lucknow with party leaders, including former MPs, former MLAs, and former MLCs. He stressed the criterion of winnability for deciding on seats and urged party workers to ensure the registration of supportive voters in the new voter list. Yadav accused the BJP government in the state of removing the names of some party workers from the list.

Currently, Congress and the SP are engaged in seat-sharing talks for the Lok Sabha polls expected to take place in April-May this year.
